President Donald Trump has just been dealt what one former insider describes as “the worst news he could imagine,” and the fallout could reshape the political landscape heading into 2024.
Lev Parnas, a former associate of Trump who previously worked closely with figures in his administration, has issued a scathing warning about the growing cracks within the Republican Party and what he sees as an existential threat to Trump’s political dominance: Elon Musk’s newly announced third party.
Parnas, who once claimed to have seen firsthand how Trump “thinks” and “operates,” published a statement on Sunday outlining what he believes is a turning point for the GOP and the MAGA movement.
“Now is the time to turn our fear into power,” Parnas urged. “Because even in the chaos, I promise you, there are cracks forming. I told you they would come. And they’re here. Inside the Republican Party. Inside MAGA itself.”
He went on to name names, pointing to GOP lawmakers who he claims are beginning to distance themselves from Trump: “Don Bacon, Brian Fitzpatrick, Tom Tillis, Thomas Massie — they’re speaking up. They’re breaking ranks. They’re calling him out.”
But the most significant blow, Parnas argues, came just recently when billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk announced the formation of a third political force: the American Party, which Musk has pledged to personally fund.

“Today, Elon Musk just drove a dagger into the MAGA narrative,” Parnas wrote. “Just yesterday, he announced the formation of a third party — the American Party — which he himself is going to fund. This is the worst thing Donald Trump could have imagined.”
According to Parnas, the former president is already preparing to respond in typical fashion. “My sources are telling me that Trump’s retaliation will be ferocious. So stay tuned,” he said.
“Donald Trump knows it. That’s why he’s lashing out harder than ever. He’s threatening to primary them. He’s threatening to deport Elon Musk. He’s threatening democracy itself. That’s why he’s desperate to silence voices like mine.”
In a final note of caution and anticipation, Parnas told readers to brace themselves: “Stay ready. Because my sources tell me — big things are coming this week.”
As speculation builds and Trump’s inner circle scrambles, political observers are watching closely — because the battle for control of the right may just be entering its most volatile phase yet.
