The Trump administration has officially concluded that Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender and disgraced financier, did not possess a so-called “client list” or engage in a blackmail scheme involving powerful individuals, according to newly revealed findings from the Department of Justice and the FBI.
This announcement comes as President Donald Trump faces renewed scrutiny, particularly after Tesla CEO Elon Musk accused him of being associated with Epstein’s alleged client list during a public spat over political disagreements, including the now-infamous “big, beautiful” bill.
In a report published by Axios, a memo obtained by the outlet states, “President Trump’s Justice Department and FBI have concluded they have no evidence that convicted sex offender and disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein blackmailed powerful figures, kept a ‘client list’ or was murdered.”
The memo adds that federal investigators found no indication of foul play in Epstein’s death, which has long been the subject of widespread speculation and conspiracy theories. These theories have persisted despite the New York City medical examiner’s ruling that Epstein died by suicide while in federal custody at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan in 2019.
To bolster its findings, the Trump administration is now releasing surveillance footage from the facility. According to Axios, “The administration is releasing a video in both raw and ‘enhanced’ versions that it says indicates no one entered the area of the Manhattan prison where Epstein was held the night he died.”

The footage is said to support the official medical examiner’s conclusion, with the memo stating that there was no evidence of unauthorized entry or suspicious activity during the time of Epstein’s death.
Axios emphasized the significance of this development, writing: “The findings represent the first time Trump’s administration has officially contradicted conspiracy theories about Epstein’s activities and his death — theories that had been pushed by the FBI’s top two officials before Trump appointed them to the bureau.”
The release of the memo and surveillance footage appears to be an effort to silence ongoing speculation and reaffirm the administration’s stance amid a fresh wave of political accusations. With Musk’s allegations and continued public distrust surrounding Epstein’s death, the Trump camp is aiming to close the door on one of the most persistent controversies tied to elite circles in recent history.
Still, for many members of the public, questions about Epstein’s connections and mysterious death may remain unresolved, regardless of what official memos declare.
