Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene voiced sharp criticism Sunday over what she described as a lack of progress under Donald Trump’s administration, particularly regarding investigations into alleged assassination attempts and what she sees as a double standard in legal accountability.
The Georgia Republican, known for her vocal support of the MAGA movement, took to X (formerly Twitter) to express her frustrations, lamenting the limited outcomes in key cases involving threats against the former president. “Thomas Crooks shot Pres Trump and we still know nothing even though we are in charge,” Greene wrote in a post on Sunday, referencing the gunman involved in a recent attempted assassination of Trump.

She continued, “Ryan Routh tried to assassinate him and we still have not seen his trial,” referring to another individual she claims made an attempt on Trump’s life. Greene then turned her attention to former FBI Director James Comey, stating, “James Comey threatens to assassinate him and publicly calls for it, and he’s on his way to a best seller.”
While no public record shows Comey explicitly threatening violence, Greene’s claim is part of a broader accusation that prominent figures aligned against Trump face no consequences for their actions, while his allies are held to a different standard.
Greene contrasted these incidents with Trump’s own legal challenges and the treatment of his allies. “Trump makes a phone call to Zelensky and gets impeached. Trump says ‘go peacefully and make your voices heard’ and gets impeached again,” she wrote, referencing Trump’s two impeachments during his presidency.
She also criticized what she described as a justice system skewed against Trump loyalists. “Bannon and Navarro go to jail for refusing to show for a sham congressional subpoena, but Christopher Wray walks free for refusing to show for our congressional subpoena,” Greene said, pointing to the convictions of Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro, and contrasting them with FBI Director Christopher Wray’s noncompliance with a GOP subpoena.

Her message ended with a warning about the broader consequences of perceived inaction. “Don’t tell me to get outraged when nothing is done to hold these people accountable. No accountability means people stop caring,” she concluded.
Greene’s post reflects ongoing frustration among Trump’s supporters, many of whom believe there is a systemic bias against their movement. The congresswoman’s remarks underscore deep divisions in Washington over how justice is applied and how the legacy of Trump’s presidency continues to shape political debate.
