Fox News host Lara Trump defended President Donald Trump’s work ethic, insisting that he “does not take any days off,” despite reports that he was set to play golf in Florida for the second consecutive day.
During a Sunday interview on Fox & Friends Weekend, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked about her own demanding schedule since joining the administration.

“I haven’t had a day off in probably a year since we’ve been on the campaign trail,” Leavitt said. Fox News co-host Charlie Hurt chimed in, acknowledging Leavitt’s relentless schedule. “You took one day off to give birth, and then you were back at it the next day,” Hurt remarked.
Lara Trump, who is also President Trump’s daughter-in-law and a key political advisor, quickly added that the president himself maintains a tireless work ethic. “We all take notes from President Trump, and you and I both know, he does not take any days off, so nobody takes any days off,” she declared.
However, reports indicate that Trump has spent six out of the last seven weekends playing golf since returning to the White House. Despite this, his allies continue to portray him as an indefatigable leader who remains engaged in governing at all times.

Trump’s frequent golf outings have been a topic of scrutiny throughout his presidency, with critics arguing they contrast with his campaign promises to work tirelessly for the American people. During his first term, Trump often criticized former President Barack Obama for golfing, stating in 2016, “I’m going to be working for you. I’m not going to have time to go play golf.”

Yet, throughout his time in office, Trump has been known to conduct meetings and make key decisions from his golf clubs, particularly at Mar-a-Lago. His supporters argue that his time on the course does not equate to time off but rather serves as a backdrop for political discussions and diplomacy.
The debate over Trump’s work schedule is unlikely to end anytime soon. While his allies maintain he is constantly working, his golf outings continue to be a point of contention among critics who question whether his schedule aligns with his promises of round-the-clock dedication to the job.
