Just hours after Joe Biden’s office revealed his serious prostate cancer diagnosis, Trump campaign press secretary Karoline Leavitt took a swipe at the former president while touting Trump’s legislative priorities. Speaking at a press briefing Monday morning, Leavitt opened by promoting Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill,” a legislative proposal aimed at revamping federal systems, including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
While she did not acknowledge Biden’s diagnosis during her opening remarks, she used the opportunity to criticize his administration’s handling of aviation infrastructure. “The previous administration failed to act and do this themselves despite repeated warnings,” Leavitt said, making a pointed reference to the Biden White House.

Later in the briefing, Leavitt confirmed that Trump and Biden had not spoken since the diagnosis was made public, but said Trump is open to speaking with the president. When pressed by reporters about Trump’s thoughts on Biden’s condition, Leavitt avoided further commentary, offering only that Trump “extends his warmest wishes.”
Asked whether Trump was concerned about the performance of White House physicians given that Biden’s cancer may have progressed unnoticed, Leavitt downplayed the issue. “Not as far as President Trump is concerned … the president had his physical recently, told Irish Star.

He had perfect results,” she said. “I think those of you who traveled to the Middle East can attest to the president’s endurance.” Biden’s diagnosis was officially disclosed by his office on Sunday. “Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms.
On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone,” the statement read. The 81-year-old president is now evaluating treatment options with his medical team and family. According to the statement, the cancer has spread to his bones, marking a serious turn in his health.

Leavitt was also asked whether a future Trump administration might investigate Biden’s White House doctor. She sidestepped the question, saying, “I’ll let the president speak on that first.” In other topics, Leavitt previewed Trump’s upcoming phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, aimed at ending what Trump described as a “bloodbath” in Ukraine.
“The subjects of the call will be stopping the ‘bloodbath’ that is killing, on average, more than 5,000 Russian and Ukrainian soldiers a week, and trade,” Trump posted Sunday on Truth Social. Despite the sensitive nature of Biden’s diagnosis, political tensions between the two camps remain firmly intact.
