Kari Lake Echoes Trump, Claims Kamala Harris is “Not Intelligent”

Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake (R) has followed her party’s presidential nominee, Donald Trump, in making controversial claims about Vice President Kamala Harris’s intelligence.

During an interview on the right-wing War Room program on Monday, Trump adviser Jason Miller encouraged Lake to blame Harris for recent stock market downturns. Miller asked, “How is that impacting — and then Kamala Harris at the top of the ticket — how is that impacting your race and the people that you’re talking to, to say, the economy is going to hell, and we’re potentially heading into World War III?”

Lake responded, “I mean, it’s the worst of all things, kind of a culmination of the worst of all things that could happen. And this is what happens when you allow two people who are not intelligent, don’t know what they’re doing, as president and vice president, to sit in the White House.” She continued, “And this is exactly what happens. We need competency, not incompetency and corruption.”

These comments align with recent remarks by Trump, who defended his decision to withdraw from an ABC News debate with Harris. Over the weekend, Trump took to his Truth Social platform, asserting that Harris had a “low IQ” and lacked the “mental capacity” to debate him. The coordinated attack on Harris’s intelligence from both Lake and Trump underscores a strategy to discredit the vice president as the 2024 election cycle heats up.
