Concerns about Joe Biden’s health have intensified following the discovery of a small nodule on his prostate during a routine medical examination, Radar Online reported. While the seriousness of the condition has not been officially disclosed, it has fueled further scrutiny surrounding the 81-year-old’s physical and mental well-being.
“In a routine physical exam, a small nodule was found in the prostate, which necessitated further evaluation,” a spokesperson confirmed in a statement. No additional medical details have been provided so far.

The revelation coincides with the upcoming release of a controversial new book, Original Sin: Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again, scheduled for publication on May 20. Co-authored by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios journalist Alex Thompson, the book delves into what it describes as behind-the-scenes turmoil within the White House during Biden’s reelection campaign.
According to excerpts from the book, internal discussions grew increasingly concerned about the physical decline. The authors write, “Biden’s physical deterioration, most apparent in his halting walk, had become so severe that there were internal discussions about putting him in a wheelchair, but they couldn’t do so until after the election.”
Dr. Kevin O’Connor, Biden’s personal physician, reportedly considered the use of a wheelchair, noting it “might be necessary for what could be a difficult recovery”, as per ABC News.

In response to growing worries over the president’s condition, White House aides allegedly implemented strategies to shield him from media scrutiny. Tapper and Thompson claim staffers walked closely beside Biden in public appearances, not only to provide support but also to obscure any physical stumbles from view.
The book also alleges that concerns extended beyond Biden’s physical health to his cognitive sharpness. He was said to frequently forget names during conversations. However, a spokesperson pushed back against this narrative, stating, “Yes, there were physical changes as he got older, but evidence of aging is not evidence of mental incapacity.”

Biden, who had already faced mounting calls to withdraw from the 2024 race due to age concerns, eventually stepped aside. Vice President Kamala Harris assumed the Democratic nomination, but the Republican contender Donald Trump ultimately won the election, becoming the 47th President of the United States.
Adding to Biden’s medical history, he underwent surgery in 2023 to remove a cancerous lesion from his chest. Dr. O’Connor at the time confirmed, “The biopsy confirmed that the small lesion was basal cell carcinoma. All cancerous tissue was successfully removed. … No further treatment is required.” As Biden steps back from the political forefront, questions about his health and legacy remain a focal point in national discourse.
