Ivanka Trump is living a quieter life away from the White House during her father’s second term, trading politics for leisure in Florida. Once a senior adviser to President Donald Trump, the 43-year-old has withdrawn from Washington and settled into a $24 million estate on Indian Creek Island with her husband, Jared Kushner and their three children.
While the Trump administration wrestles with controversies at home and abroad, Ivanka appears focused on her family and personal interests. According to a report in the Daily Mail, those close to her are beginning to wonder if she misses the spotlight. “Ivanka said she wanted to move to Florida to spend time with her family, but the children are all at school and Jared’s often away,” one source told the outlet.
Her daily routine reportedly includes school drop-offs, making breakfast for her children, and hours devoted to sports such as tennis, pickleball, and surfing. Friends say she has also devoted time to fitness and grooming, a reminder of her past as a New York socialite.

“Now they’re no longer big players in Washington; they have all the time in the world to cultivate their good looks. They’ve always been especially vain,” a Trump family friend told the publication, referring to both Ivanka and Kushner.
Ivanka first entered politics during her father’s 2016 campaign and later served in the White House, overseeing the Office of Economic Initiatives and Entrepreneurship from 2017 until 2021. Kushner also held a senior advisory role. But when Donald Trump announced another presidential run in 2022, Ivanka chose not to return.
Still, she has not completely severed ties. Last month, it was revealed that she is helping her father organize the first UFC fight to be staged on White House grounds. Even so, she has distanced herself from the political battles that define her father’s presidency, including global trade disputes and renewed scrutiny of his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
Instead, Ivanka has been spotted at high-profile social events, such as the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez in Venice. In a January 2025 interview on the Him & Her podcast, recorded just before her father’s second inauguration, she explained her stance. “I love policy and impact. I hate politics,” she said.

“There is a darkness to that world that I don’t really want to welcome into mine.” She added, “I know the cost, and it’s a price that I’m not willing to make my kids bear.”
Skeptics, however, suggest her retreat is less about protecting her family and more about image control. “You can’t have it both ways,” a source told the Mail. “She spent the first administration complaining about all the media attention, and now it seems she can’t get enough of it.”
