Biden Tells Trump to ‘Get a Life’ Over Hurricane Misinformation

At a press conference on Thursday, President Joe Biden had strong words for former President Donald Trump, urging him to “get a life” instead of spreading misinformation about recent hurricanes. The remarks came after a reporter asked if Biden had any plans to speak with his predecessor.

Biden, appearing amused, responded with a laugh. “Are you kidding me?” he said. “Mr. President Trump, former President Trump, get a life, man. Help these people.” His comment underscored the ongoing tension between the two leaders as Biden addressed the misinformation Trump has been circulating.

A reporter pressed Biden further, asking if he planned to hold Trump accountable for his actions, referencing a previous statement Biden made about accountability. “The public will hold them accountable,” Biden replied. “The press will. You better hold them accountable because you know the truth.” His words seemed to shift the responsibility to journalists and the American public to challenge false narratives.

When asked if he would reach out to Trump directly, Biden offered a curt response: “No,” before turning and walking away. His firm dismissal highlighted the growing divide between the current administration and Trump’s continued influence in political discourse.

The exchange reflects Biden’s frustration with the misinformation Trump has been spreading, particularly around hurricane relief efforts. Biden’s message was clear: his priority is to help the American people, and he expects others, including Trump, to do the same rather than engage in unproductive rhetoric. As both leaders remain in the spotlight, Biden’s refusal to engage directly with Trump signals his intention to distance his administration from the former president’s influence while staying focused on crisis management and recovery efforts.
