“The Biggest Single Grant Made by the Couple”: Archewell Foundation Donates $250,000 to Ashley Biden’s Charity

The Archewell Foundation, led by Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, and his wife Meghan Markle, has made a significant donation to a charity run by President Joe Biden’s daughter, Ashley Biden. According to a report from The Daily Beast published on Tuesday, the foundation contributed $250,000 to Ashley Biden’s Women’s Wellness Space in Philadelphia, marking the largest single grant made by the couple’s charitable organization in 2023.

“The huge sum of cash given to social worker Ashley Biden’s Women’s Wellness Space in Philadelphia was the biggest single grant made by the couple’s Archewell Foundation last year, according to a newly filed tax return,” the report stated.

The Women’s Wellness Space is a trauma-informed wellness center in North Philadelphia that aims to provide a safe haven and support for women who have experienced trauma. The center offers essential resources, including nutritious food, exercise, meditation, and therapeutic interventions. In their annual impact report, Archewell described the initiative as a project that “helps women in need,” emphasizing its focus on providing a supportive community for women affected by trauma.

This generous contribution from the Archewell Foundation comes at a time when the Biden Administration has faced accusations from conservative groups about its close relationship with Harry and Meghan. The Heritage Foundation, a right-wing think tank, has specifically criticized the administration for allegedly protecting the couple by not complying with a Freedom of Information Act request regarding their interactions with the White House.

The report notes that a federal judge ruled in September that Harry was entitled to privacy in the matter, and his paperwork should not be released. However, the latest revelations regarding the Archewell donation are unlikely to quell ongoing chatter in right-wing circles about the perceived closeness between the Sussexes and the Bidens. First Lady Jill Biden, in particular, has been a vocal supporter of Harry’s Invictus Games, further fueling these discussions.

Despite the controversy, the Archewell Foundation’s continued charitable efforts, including the donation to Ashley Biden’s project, highlight the couple’s commitment to causes they believe in, even as they remain at the center of public debate.
