A San Antonio high school cafeteria worker has been arrested after allegedly engaging in a months-long sexual relationship with a student, including daily encounters in a school closet while colleagues reportedly overlooked a key piece of evidence in her locker.
Jenna Woodworth, 30, was taken into custody Thursday following accusations that she had an inappropriate relationship with a senior at East Central High School. Investigators say a photo of the student was later found in her work locker. Both Woodworth and the student admitted to the relationship during police questioning.

According to an arrest affidavit, the allegations surfaced Wednesday morning. The student told authorities that Woodworth would pick him up from a stadium parking lot in a school district vehicle before driving him back to campus. They allegedly entered through an employee-only entrance and had sex in a kitchen closet, after which Woodworth reportedly washed her hands and returned to work.
While the age of consent in Texas is 17, state law prohibits educators and school employees from engaging in sexual relationships with students, regardless of consent. The victim’s exact age has not been disclosed.
The student told police he had known Woodworth since his freshman year and that “[Woodworth] would get upset with me if I did not speak to her or acknowledge her when I was around her.”

The school district swiftly terminated Woodworth’s employment and notified parents in a letter, stating that “immediate and decisive action” had been taken. The letter emphasized that “any inappropriate relationship between a staff member and a student violates the trust placed in our employees and is wholly unacceptable.”
Authorities confirmed the student’s family was informed and cooperating with the investigation, and Child Protective Services had been notified. The case remains under review as legal proceedings begin.
