Robinson told GMA:

“We’re moving forward with this for a couple of reasons. Kelly and Craig Robinson’s lawsuit against the University School of Milwaukee

The Robinsons explained on their lawsuit website that USM engaged in “repeated use of racial and ethnic stereotypes” during the online classes during the pandemic. Craig and Kelly Robinson claim to have found discrepancies in some assignments. Furthermore, they stated,

“We also witnessed a disregard for children who were not physically present in class and an apparent insensitivity to socioeconomic status – an issue that was put in stark relief during the pandemic.”

The couple decided to sue the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee only after their sons were expelled due to their concerns. According to the website, the independent preparatory school provided no explanation for their sons’ expulsion. As a result, they had no choice but to take the dispute to court.
