A Georgia healthcare worker has been charged with a felony after a video of her dancing provocatively on top of a disabled patient’s head went viral on social media. Lucrecia Kormassa Koiyan, 19, was arrested Tuesday following an investigation by the Loganville Police Department, who were alerted to the disturbing footage after it circulated on TikTok.
The video, which has since been deleted, showed Koiyan wearing scrubs and a stethoscope while twerking and gyrating over a disabled man seated in a chair. Authorities described the act as “exploitation of a disabled person,” leading to Koiyan’s arrest at her Loganville home.
“On January 23, 2025, the Loganville Police Department was made aware of a ‘viral’ video posted to social media depicting a female dancing in a provocative manner above a disabled person, who was seated in a chair,” police said in a statement.
Loganville Police Chief Dick Lowry expressed disgust over the incident, stating, “When I watched it, disgusted is the only word I know. He is disabled, and then making the video and posting it to social media for your own benefit is the exploitation of that person.”
Koiyan allegedly recorded and posted a second video showing her dancing above another disabled man seated in a bathtub. After facing backlash, she defended her actions in a follow-up video, claiming, “It’s not what it is, trust and believe. All I gotta say for now is angles play a big part. He looks very aware and comfortable to me.”
Police are investigating whether additional charges will be filed in connection with the second video. “We’re looking at both of them; it is still an ongoing investigation,” Chief Lowry said. Koiyan is currently being held at Walton County Jail.
Authorities confirmed that the alleged victims are safe and not in any danger. Koiyan is believed to have worked for an in-home adult daycare program, though it remains unclear if she was a licensed healthcare worker. The case has sparked outrage and raised questions about the oversight of caregivers for vulnerable individuals.
The incident highlights the dangers of exploiting vulnerable populations for social media clout, with Chief Lowry emphasizing the need for accountability. “This kind of behavior is unacceptable, and we will ensure justice is served,” he said. As the investigation continues, the case serves as a stark reminder of the responsibilities that come with caring for those who cannot defend themselves.
