Wendy Osefo is speaking out for the first time since she and her husband, Eddie Osefo, were arrested on fraud charges earlier this month. On Sunday, October 19, the Real Housewives of Potomac star shared a post on Instagram, addressing the arrest and the difficult time she and her family have been going through.
In her post, Wendy, 41, expressed gratitude for the support she’s received from fans and friends. “And through it all, GOD remains faithful,” she captioned a photo of herself in a black-and-white gown. “Thank you for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for myself and most importantly my family during this time. We are forever grateful 🙏🏾.” She ended her post by encouraging fans to tune in to the latest episode of Real Housewives of Potomac.
Wendy and Eddie, also 41, were arrested on Thursday, October 9, in Westminster, Maryland. They’re facing 16 charges, including seven felonies, all related to alleged false and misleading information about a burglary in Jamaica in April 2024.

The Westminster Police Department confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple claimed designer bags and jewelry were stolen during the break-in, but authorities say Wendy was later seen wearing one of the diamond rings in a social media post. Investigators also found that other items the couple reported as stolen had actually been bought and returned to stores for a full refund prior to the supposed burglary.
Prosecutors allege that the couple claimed a $450,000 loss to their insurance company for personal property that they said was stolen during the burglary, according to TMZ.
Wendy, who joined RHOP in season 5, is also slated to appear in the upcoming Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition series on Bravo. The show, originally scheduled to premiere on October 14, has now been delayed to October 21. Wendy’s episode, however, will no longer air first, as was initially planned.
Despite the legal drama, Wendy and Eddie, who share three children—Karter, 12, Kruz, 10, and Kamrynn, 6—celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary in August.

Other Bravo stars, including RHOP host Andy Cohen, have expressed their support for Wendy. On the October 13 episode of Andy Cohen Live on SiriusXM, Cohen said, “I want to say that like all of you, I found out about the charges against Wendy and Eddie Osefo on Friday morning, and there’s not much that I can say. I know nothing of the charges more than you guys do, than what I’ve read. I’m sad about this. I’m really sad about this.”
Cohen, who’s been a fan of Wendy since her RHOP debut, continued, “I’m a Wendy fan, and she has been a great housewife and a great role model. She’s always led with education and her solid family values, and so I’m really thinking about her and her family, and I’m certainly hoping that this is all some big nothing.”
As Wendy faces these serious charges, her fans and fellow Bravo stars continue to rally around her, hoping the situation will be resolved without further harm to her reputation or family.
