Just one day after Todd and Julie Chrisley were officially pardoned by President Donald Trump, the former reality stars wasted no time stepping back into the public eye — and their kids were right there, ready to help them start over.
Todd, 56, who had been serving a reduced 10-year sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Pensacola, Florida, was spotted out in Nashville on May 29. He hit up a Nordstrom with daughter Savannah Chrisley, and according to photos shared by Fox News Digital, he looked relaxed and cheerful, even waving to onlookers. He kept things casual in a long-sleeve green shirt, aviator shades, and a black cap — plus, his wedding ring was fully visible.

Savannah, never one to shy away from clapping back, shared a selfie with her dad on Instagram later that same day, poking fun at the media attention. “To the paparazzi following us, looking to pay your bills… here’s your photo,” she wrote.
Julie, 52, who had been serving a 7-year sentence at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, was also seen out and about on May 29. She stepped out solo to visit a local butcher shop in Nashville, rocking a new brunette hairdo with grey roots — a look her son Chase says she’s fully embracing.
“Her hair is darker now,” Chase, 28, told Entertainment Tonight. “I’m like, ‘Mama, we gotta go back platinum blonde.’ And she was like, ‘I’m not doing that.’”
The Chrisleys’ surprise release came after Trump signed the official pardon paperwork on May 28, according to a White House official. Before the pardon, Julie wasn’t expected to be released until 2028, and Todd’s sentence ran through 2032.
Savannah, 27, has been very vocal throughout her parents’ legal battle, and she didn’t hold back her emotions when the news finally broke. “It still doesn’t feel real,” she said in an Instagram video on May 27. “I’m gonna go and prepare to go pick up my parents. And I just can’t thank you guys enough. They’re coming home. My parents get to start their lives over. They get to start their lives over with a clean slate.”

She also shared what the family was doing to welcome them back home. “We’re getting some clothes together for mom and dad,” she said. “Getting their room put together upstairs. And I’m just speechless.”
The Chrisleys, known for their hit show Chrisley Knows Best, are now settling into life post-prison. In addition to Savannah and Chase, they share 19-year-old son Grayson and have custody of their granddaughter Chloe, 11. Todd also has two older children, Lindsie, 35, and Kyle, 33, from a previous relationship.
With their legal nightmare behind them and a clean slate ahead, it looks like the Chrisleys are focused on rebuilding — and judging by their first day out, they’re ready to move forward in full view.
