Rapper Nicki Minaj Faces Court Ordered Sale Of Her Los Angeles Mansion

Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, are facing renewed legal trouble as a man who previously won a six-figure judgment against them takes action to collect the money he is owed. Court documents obtained by Us Weekly show that Thomas Weidenmuller, who was granted a $503,000 default judgment earlier this year, has now placed a levy on Minaj’s Los Angeles mansion.

According to the filing made on October 17, Weidenmuller’s attorney confirmed that the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department officially placed the levy on September 16. The property, located in Hidden Hills, California, features 11 bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, and spans nearly 12,000 square feet. It is now under claim as part of Weidenmuller’s effort to recover the unpaid judgment.

A levy allows a creditor to seek repayment from the proceeds if the property is sold. Weidenmuller shared a letter from the Sheriff’s Department verifying the levy’s enforcement and was advised to file a motion if he wanted the home to be sold. He did so on October 6, asking the court to authorize the sale of the mansion.

The following week, on October 16, Weidenmuller said he served Minaj with notice by leaving a copy of the filing at her front door. Bank of America, which holds the mortgage on the property, was also formally notified. The legal dispute originates from an alleged altercation during one of Minaj’s concerts in Germany, where Weidenmuller was working as a security guard.

He claimed that a fan had rushed the stage, angering Minaj, and when he tried to calm the situation, she became upset with him. Later, he was reportedly summoned to her dressing room, where Minaj, Petty, and two other security guards were present.

According to the lawsuit, Petty allegedly struck him without warning, leaving him with serious injuries, including a broken jaw that required multiple surgeries. Minaj and Petty failed to respond to the lawsuit, leading the court to award Weidenmuller a default judgment in March 2024.

Following that decision, he moved to have Minaj’s mansion sold to collect the amount owed. He estimated the home’s value at around $20 million, with a $13 million mortgage. Amid the legal turmoil, Minaj addressed the situation on X (formerly Twitter) on October 15, writing, “I have evidence that this was given to a business [manager] who never told me.

My lawyers AND business [managers] (old & new) are AWARE. Let’s see if they’ll speak up or if I’ll have to call them out by name. That same business [manager] STOLE from me MANY times.” The case remains active as Weidenmuller continues efforts to collect the judgment from Minaj and her husband.
