Kourtney Kardashian has opened up about her difficult relationship with her former stepfather, Caitlyn Jenner, describing her as a “bossy and controlling stepdad” during a recent podcast appearance.
Speaking on Khloé in Wonder Land, hosted by her sister Khloé Kardashian, the Lemme founder shared a personal account of growing up with Caitlyn, who was married to their mother Kris Jenner from 1991 until their divorce in 2013.

During the episode, the sisters discussed their respective relationships with Caitlyn and how they differed from their bond with their biological father, the late Robert Kardashian Sr.
Khloé began the conversation by reflecting on her own experience, saying, “[Caitlyn] never tried to be Dad and I always appreciated and respected that,” noting the delicate balance between the two father figures in their lives.
However, Kourtney offered a contrasting perspective. “Okay, so, that wasn’t my experience, but maybe that’s why it became your experience, so [I’m] grateful for that for you,” she said, per E! News.
Kourtney went on to describe Caitlyn as “controlling and bossy,” recalling how she was often subjected to restrictions during her childhood. She noted that Caitlyn “used to tell her certain friends can’t come over,” and was often overbearing in her household rules.
One particularly intense memory stood out for Kourtney: “I would be like, ‘I wanna call my Dad,’ and [Caitlyn] would hang up the phone. We would have yelling wars.”
Khloé, trying to make sense of their differing experiences, theorized that Kourtney may have felt Caitlyn was attempting to replace their father. “Maybe it was due to her thinking that Caitlyn was replacing (our) Dad – not that he did, no one could replace Dad,” she said.
