Kim Kardashian Slams Trump’s ‘Inhumane’ ICE Raids in Surprise Instagram Blast: ‘There HAS to Be a Better Way

Kim Kardashian has waded into the growing national debate over immigration policy, issuing a powerful public condemnation of President Donald Trump’s latest immigration crackdown and calling for an end to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids that she says are tearing families apart.

In a strongly worded message shared with her 356 million Instagram followers on Tuesday, Kardashian described the Trump administration’s approach to immigration enforcement as “inhumane” and harmful to the very communities that form the foundation of American society.

“When we’re told that ICE exists to keep our country safe and remove violent criminals — great,” Kardashian wrote. “But when we witness innocent, hardworking people being ripped from their families in inhumane ways, we have to speak up. We have to do what’s right.”

The reality star and entrepreneur, a lifelong resident of Los Angeles County, spoke directly to the impact she says the raids are having on the people around her. “I have seen firsthand how deeply immigrants are woven into the fabric of this city,” she said. “They are our neighbors, friends, classmates, co-workers, and family.”

She continued, “We can’t turn a blind eye when fear and injustice keep people from living their lives freely and safely. There HAS to be a BETTER way.”

Her post comes amid days of protests across Los Angeles and other cities in response to intensified federal immigration raids reportedly targeting undocumented individuals without criminal records. According to MSNBC, the Trump administration’s tactics have drawn sharp criticism from immigrant rights groups and progressive leaders nationwide.

Kardashian’s remarks have drawn particular attention because of her previously cordial relationship with Trump. During his first term, she famously lobbied the president to commute the sentence of Alice Johnson, a grandmother serving life without parole for a nonviolent drug offense.

“During the president’s first term, Kardashian lobbied him to commute the sentence of Alice Johnson,” MSNBC reported. “In 2018, Trump commuted Johnson’s sentence and, in 2020, granted her a full pardon. Johnson currently serves as Trump’s ‘pardon czar.’”

Still, Kardashian made it clear her views on immigration enforcement are sharply at odds with the current direction of Trump’s policies. “No matter where you fall politically, it’s clear that our communities thrive because of the contributions of immigrants,” she wrote.

Her post adds a high-profile voice to the chorus of criticism against the ongoing ICE operations and underscores a broader call for immigration reform rooted in compassion and justice.
