Keith Urban is entering a new chapter in his career after longtime manager Gary Borman retired, bringing an end to a 25-year professional partnership. Borman, who spent nearly five decades in the music industry, recently stepped away from management. Urban had been signed to Borman Entertainment since the early days of his rise in country music.
Over the years, the company also represented major acts including The Rolling Stones, the Bee Gees, and fellow country star Faith Hill. The 58-year-old singer-songwriter is now searching for new representation. A spokesperson told Variety that “there is no announcement to be made yet,” indicating that discussions may still be ongoing.
Urban addressed the split publicly, expressing appreciation for the team that helped shape his career. In a statement shared after wrapping his High and Alive World Tour in October, the Grammy winner reflected on their time working together.
“I’m so grateful to Gary (and my entire Borman Nashville family) for the most incredible and successful time together,” he said. “It was extraordinary what we were able to accomplish together, and I’ll forever be grateful for the creative and collaborative spirit we were all a part of for so long,” he continued. “I wish Gary and everyone at Borman Entertainment the very best journey ahead and look forward to what the future holds for all of us.”

The end of the professional relationship comes during a period of personal transition for Urban as well. Just a month before news of Borman’s retirement surfaced, his divorce from Nicole Kidman was finalized. The couple separated last year, with Kidman filing for divorce in September 2025. A Tennessee court granted the request on January 7, officially ending their marriage.
Since the high-profile split, Kidman appears focused on work and family. The Australian actress rang in the new year with a trip to Antarctica alongside her sister and two daughters. She has also promoted her upcoming Prime Video thriller series, Scarpetta, recently sharing its trailer with fans.
For Urban, the close of his world tour and the departure of a longtime manager mark significant milestones. As he looks ahead to new representation and future projects, the singer is stepping into a fresh phase both professionally and personally.
