Kanye West, the music mogul now considered one of Hollywood’s most controversial figures, is once again making headlines with his latest decision—one that has left many questioning his current mental health status.
The rapper and designer, who now goes by Ye, has announced that all males aged five and older who wish to join his gospel choir must shave their heads, told Daily Mail.

Ye is reviving his Sunday Service gospel choir, which he originally launched in 2019, and is actively recruiting male singers for the group. He took to Instagram to make the announcement, writing: “Sunday service the next frontier is recruiting male choir members.”
He then outlined a key requirement: “Those selected are required to shave their heads. Shaved heads are not required to audition.” Ye also provided details about the audition process, noting, “The audition location is in Los Angeles and will be given upon RSVP.”

The Heartless rapper further elaborated, saying, “Open auditions will be held on Thursday, March 13, at 4 PM. Auditions are open to ages five and up.” West’s gospel choir was originally launched as a nonprofit initiative aimed at spreading positivity through music, supporting education, charity, and community efforts.

However, the group faced financial setbacks. According to the IRS, it lost its tax-exempt status in May last year due to failing to file the required paperwork for three consecutive years. As Ye pushes forward with his latest musical endeavor, his unusual requirement for choir members has sparked debate, adding to the ongoing discussion about his unconventional leadership style and public behavior.
