Kanye West, who now goes by Ye, has officially canceled his upcoming concert in South Korea following growing public backlash and controversy. The show, scheduled to take place at Incheon’s Munhak Stadium, was abruptly scrapped, as confirmed by local media and ticketing outlets.
According to a report by Korea JoongAng Daily, South Korean e-commerce giant Coupang and ticket vendor Interpark released a statement announcing the cancellation. “Due to recent controversies involving the artist,” the companies stated, “the concert has been cancelled and all ticket holders will receive full refunds.” Sales of Yeezy merchandise associated with the event have also been suspended.

While organizers did not specify which controversies led to the decision, Ye has been embroiled in a series of headline-making incidents in recent months, many of which have drawn widespread criticism both online and in the media.
The 47-year-old rapper and fashion mogul has made waves for his increasingly erratic behavior. At the 2025 Grammy Awards, Ye drew attention for allowing his wife, Bianca Censori, to appear essentially nude on the red carpet. His conduct on social media has also been a consistent source of controversy, with Ye posting antisemitic remarks and bizarre rants via X, formerly known as Twitter.

In March, Ye sparked global outrage after appearing in public wearing an outfit resembling the Ku Klux Klan’s infamous white hood and robes, along with a necklace featuring a swastika. He further inflamed tensions by claiming he never wanted children with his ex-wife, reality star Kim Kardashian. The former couple shares four children together.

The situation escalated further in May when Ye released a track titled Heil Hitler, which was quickly picked up and promoted by extremist groups. The song has since been labeled a “summer anthem” by several neo-Nazi communities, compounding the already serious backlash against the artist.
This series of incidents appears to have played a role in the cancellation of the South Korea concert, as public sentiment turned sharply against Ye. Fans and critics alike have voiced concerns over his behavior and its increasingly inflammatory nature.
For now, there is no indication of when or if the concert will be rescheduled. All ticket holders have been assured a full refund, and Coupang and Interpark have reiterated their commitment to addressing customer concerns in light of the abrupt cancellation.
