Kanye West Breaks Silence on Adam Sandler’s SNL Dig

Kanye West has responded to Adam Sandler’s subtle dig at him during Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary special, and rather than taking offense, the rapper appeared unbothered.

Instead of expressing anger, Ye acknowledged the mention in a social media post. “Adam Sandler, Thank you for the love,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on February 19. In a follow-up message, he added, “After further reflection I’ve come to the realization that I’m not a Nazi.”

The moment in question came during SNL’s three-hour special on February 16, when Sandler, 58, performed a tribute song poking fun at various cast members, hosts, and musical guests who have made headlines throughout the show’s history.

One particular lyric referenced SNL’s controversial musical guests, with Sandler singing, “50 years of finding out your favorite musician’s antisemitic.” The line was widely interpreted as a jab at West, who has faced backlash over antisemitic comments in recent years, leading to lost endorsements and public condemnation.

West’s response comes in the wake of renewed controversy surrounding his actions. He recently faced criticism for selling swastika-emblazoned T-shirts through his Yeezy brand and promoting them in a Super Bowl advertisement. The backlash led to Shopify terminating sales of the merchandise, citing violations of its policies.

While West’s social media posts suggest he is taking Sandler’s remarks in stride, the ongoing scrutiny surrounding his actions continues to spark debate. As he attempts to navigate his career amid controversy, public reaction remains divided.
