Justin Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, has made bold statements regarding the actor’s upcoming countersuit against Blake Lively. Freedman shared that the lawsuit would expose “those who believe themselves untouchable,” as it aims to challenge the claims made by Lively, who has accused Baldoni of sexual abuse.
In an interview with People magazine, Freedman described the impending lawsuit as more than just a countersuit, calling it “a deliberate pursuit of truth.” He emphasized that the legal action is intended to uncover the facts, not simply to respond to Lively’s accusations.
Freedman further elaborated in a conversation with Deadline on Saturday, revealing that Baldoni’s team is preparing to file what he called an “explosive counter-case.” He accused Lively of creating a false narrative and pointed to a media publication that played a role in spreading misinformation.
“This lawsuit will uncover and expose the false and destructive narrative that was intentionally engineered by a trusted media publication who relied upon nefarious sources and neglected a thorough fact-checking process to confirm the validity of these texts,” Freedman stated.
The lawyer also referred to the December 21st New York Times article, which broke the news of Lively’s complaint filed in California. “There is an insurmountable collection of authentic evidence, including timelines and communications, which have not been doctored or spliced without context, unlike the altered [New York Times] story,” Freedman said.
In his strong statement, Freedman expressed his disbelief over the situation. “In over three decades of legal practice, I’ve never witnessed such unethical behavior, fueled by those who abuse their power and manipulate the truth,” he said. “This isn’t an isolated case; it’s a recurring pattern in Hollywood and the mainstream media where careers and reputations are destroyed to maintain control.”
Freedman concluded his remarks with a firm declaration: “The truth will not only come to light — it will dismantle the illusions propped up by those who believe themselves untouchable.” His statement indicates that Baldoni’s legal team is ready to fight back aggressively against the accusations and expose the alleged wrongdoing.
