Diddy Caught Trying to Influence Jury and Judge Is Not Having It

Sean “Diddy” Combs is in serious hot water—not just with the law, but now with the judge overseeing his high-profile federal trial. Things got tense on Thursday, June 5, when U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian gave the music mogul a clear warning: keep quiet and stop trying to sway the jury, or get kicked out of court altogether.

According to US Weekly, Judge Subramanian didn’t mince words during the heated exchange. “There’d be no interaction with the jury whatsoever,” he told Diddy’s attorney. “Otherwise, I will remove your client from the courtroom.”

Apparently, this wasn’t the first time the judge had laid down that rule. But Combs seemed to test those boundaries. The judge pointed out one specific incident, saying, “There was a line of questioning where your client was nodding vigorously and looking at the jury.” He made it clear that any effort to influence the jury—no matter how subtle—was unacceptable.

“There should be no efforts to have any interactions with this jury,” Subramanian added.

Diddy’s defense attorney, Marc Agnifilo, quickly promised that it wouldn’t happen again. But inside the courtroom, the alleged antics were hard to miss.

One juror reportedly even laughed at something Combs did, according to an eyewitness quoted by US Weekly. And courtroom sketch artist Jane Rosenberg added another layer, claiming Diddy had been making all sorts of expressions throughout the proceedings—sometimes showing support, other times dismissing what was being said.

The trial, which officially began in May, stems from serious charges against the hip-hop icon. Diddy was arrested back in September 2024 and hit with multiple federal charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. He has pleaded not guilty and remains in custody after several attempts to secure bail were denied.

This case has been drawing intense public scrutiny, and the courtroom is under a microscope. So when a high-profile defendant like Diddy so much as nods or pulls a face, it’s going to be noticed—and probably reported.

The judge’s warning is more than just a procedural reminder. It highlights how closely the court is watching Diddy’s behavior as the trial unfolds. Federal trials, especially ones involving charges this serious and a celebrity this well known, run on strict rules designed to keep the process fair. Any hint of jury tampering or influence—intentional or not—can lead to serious consequences.

While it’s not unusual for defendants to react during testimony, most know to keep those reactions under wraps. For someone with Diddy’s public presence and legal team, it’s especially important. But his courtroom conduct so far has been anything but subtle.

And with witnesses still taking the stand, any future missteps could bring harsher consequences. Judge Subramanian made it clear that he’s not going to let the trial turn into a performance. If Diddy crosses the line again, he might find himself watching the rest of the proceedings from a monitor outside the courtroom.
