Texas Man Punches Pregnant Woman in Stomach, Beats Her Unconscious in ‘Hell House’ RV

A Texas man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for locking a pregnant woman inside his RV, beating her unconscious, and telling her, “Welcome to Hell House,” before violently assaulting her, prosecutors said.

Andrew Gutierrez, 35, was convicted of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the 2024 attack, according to the Brazos County District Attorney’s Office. Gutierrez, who has a prior 2016 conviction for “assault family violence continuous,” had previously served five years in prison.

The brutal incident unfolded in January 2024 when Bryan police—located about 100 miles east of Austin—responded to a disconnected 911 call at Gutierrez’s home. Officers found the victim “severely beaten and requiring immediate medical attention,” the DA’s office said in a press release.

First responders documented “severe bruising” and swelling on the victim’s face, stomach, and chest. The woman, who was 11 weeks pregnant at the time, told police that she and Gutierrez had argued before he locked her inside the RV and declared, “Welcome to Hell House,” threatening to “make sure she didn’t have the baby.”

Gutierrez then grabbed her by the hair and “repeatedly punched her in the face and stomach” before seizing a 10-inch kitchen knife. He held the blade to her neck and threatened to kill her before continuing the assault.

“The victim begged him to stop, and he threw the knife on a table but continued punching, kicking, and kneeing the victim until she lost consciousness,” the DA’s office said. When Gutierrez stepped outside to dispose of evidence, the woman managed to call 911, whisper an address, and hang up.

After regaining consciousness, the victim told Gutierrez she needed medical help. He then forced her to “fabricate a story” about being attacked by two women to avoid responsibility, prosecutors said. However, Bryan police quickly uncovered the truth.

Investigators recovered the kitchen knife and observed signs of a violent struggle inside the trailer, including broken glass and blood. Gutierrez was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and family violence.

Under Texas law, Gutierrez must serve at least half of his 25-year sentence before becoming eligible for parole. The case highlights the severity of domestic violence and the justice system’s efforts to hold abusers accountable.
