NEW YORK, NY — Former Today Show anchor Hoda Kotb is eagerly awaiting the reveal of her permanent replacement on the morning show’s fourth hour, expressing excitement over who will take her place alongside Jenna Bush Hager.
Speaking to People at the inaugural Runway for Recovery fashion show in New York City, Kotb, 60, who recently stepped away from her longtime role after two decades, shared her anticipation about the upcoming change. “I’m dying to find out who it’s going to be,” Kotb told the outlet.

In the meantime, the show has been rebranded as Jenna & Friends, featuring a rotating lineup of celebrity guests until a permanent co-host is selected. “I’ve been talking with Jenna about it. I keep saying, ‘Who’s going to be our friend forever?’” Kotb added with enthusiasm.
Kotb praised Bush Hager’s versatility, noting that the rotation of co-hosts has only highlighted her talent. “What this has shown me is that Jenna is a mega talent,” she said. “It was always clear to me, but it’s even clearer because now I’m watching her have blind dates every week with new co-hosts, and the common thread is how awesome she is.

She’s incredible. So whoever she chooses is going to be great with her.” Meanwhile, Today Show mainstays Craig Melvin and Savannah Guthrie continue their roles as co-hosts during the 7 and 8 a.m. hours, keeping the program’s lineup strong. “Savannah and Craig—come on,” Kotb said, praising the duo. “It’s like two peas in a pod, man.
That was so meant to be.” As fans await the final decision, Kotb remains supportive of Bush Hager and confident that the right co-host will eventually be chosen to join her in the next chapter of the show.
