Demi Lovato opened up about her husband, Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, in an emotional new interview, sharing heartfelt details about their growing love and how their relationship continues to inspire her music.
During a recent conversation with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, the singer reflected on her marriage and the happiness she has found since tying the knot with Jutes in May.
“I’ve definitely been in relationships before and thought I’ve been in love, but I’ve never loved like this,” Lovato told Lowe, pausing for a moment before admitting she was “gonna cry.”

Lovato, who rose to fame through her Disney Channel days and has since built a successful music career, described how her love for Jutes has deepened far beyond what she imagined possible.
“I never knew that you could be with someone whose love could continue to grow for every single day,” she said. “On the day that I got married, I was like, ‘Okay, this is it. I’m the most in love I’ve ever been in my life, and this is what it’s gonna be forever.’ And I was so wrong because it just kept growing.”
Lovato added that even months after their wedding, her feelings for her husband have only intensified. “It’s been five months since we got married, but I’m like, ‘Oh, I didn’t know it was possible to love you more than I did on our wedding day,’” she said.
The Grammy-nominated artist also revealed that Jutes has been a creative influence in her life, inspiring her upcoming album. “The album is called It’s Not That Deep, but there are some deep songs on it, and one of which is ‘Ghost.’ It’s this song about being terrified to lose somebody because you love them so much,” she explained.

Lovato said the track touches on the fragility of love and the fear of loss. “And lose them in a sense of, like, talking about life and death. It still makes me emotional when I sing it because I feel it so much,” she added.
Lovato and Lutes, who first met through their work in music, have been open about their admiration and support for one another. Their relationship has marked a new era for Lovato, one defined by stability, vulnerability, and joy.
As she continues to evolve both personally and artistically, Lovato’s reflections on love and partnership reveal a woman deeply grateful for the peace she has found — and the person who helped her find it.
