Brianna LaPaglia recently addressed rumors claiming her friend, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, paid her $10 million to discuss her breakup with country singer Zach Bryan. In a TikTok video posted Saturday, LaPaglia dismissed the speculation, clarifying her intentions and financial situation following the split.
The internet personality’s response came after she spoke about her relationship with Bryan on a recent episode of her BFF podcast, co-hosted with Portnoy and Josh Richards. In that episode, LaPaglia shared details about the emotional struggles she faced in the relationship, which led some fans to speculate she had accepted a massive payout from Portnoy for a “tell-all.”
“I see a lot of people being like, ‘Well, Dave definitely just gave her $10 million to do a tell-all, so she took the money anyway,’” LaPaglia explained in her TikTok video. She quickly shut down the rumor, saying, “Dave didn’t give me any money. Do you think that was a tell-all? I took the high road. What I did was set a scene [and] paint a picture.”
LaPaglia emphasized that the breakup has, in fact, been costly for her. “I’m losing money right now,” she continued, describing the financial burdens she’s been facing since the split. “I’m paying for storage, I’m paying for movers, I’m paying for f–king flights back and forth to New York to go try and find an apartment.” After parting ways with Bryan, she revealed she was forced to move out of his home and now finds herself in transition, covering various expenses on her own.
During the podcast episode, LaPaglia claimed that Bryan and his team had offered her $12 million to keep silent about their year-long relationship, a proposition she ultimately did not accept. The split between LaPaglia and Bryan was officially announced on October 22, ending a year-long romance that had been under the public eye.
With her TikTok clarification, LaPaglia aimed to set the record straight, dispelling any misconceptions about her motives and emphasizing her choice to share only what she felt necessary. As she navigates her breakup and newfound single life, she has shown a commitment to handling the situation on her own terms, despite the swirling rumors and challenges that come with a high-profile split.
