Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds ordered to ‘testify’ in Baldoni’s bombshell claims

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are set to be subpoenaed in a high-profile legal battle involving actor-director Justin Baldoni and the film It Ends With Us. According to the Daily Mail, the Hollywood power couple is being asked to provide all text messages, emails, and communications related to Baldoni and the film.

The lawsuit, filed by Baldoni last week, names Lively, Reynolds, and their PR agent Leslie Sloane as defendants. If Baldoni prevails, the couple could face damages of up to $400 million.

The forthcoming subpoenas require the 37-year-old actress, her 48-year-old husband, and Sloane to give depositions, answer questions from Baldoni’s legal team, and provide hours of testimony. A source close to the case told the outlet, “Unequivocally yes, all parties should be aware that they will be subpoenaed and deposed imminently.”

The legal clash stems from ongoing tensions between Lively and Baldoni, which reportedly began during the filming of It Ends With Us, a movie centered on domestic abuse. The conflict escalated during the film’s promotional campaign in August 2024, culminating in allegations and lawsuits.

Baldoni has claimed that tensions with Lively led to what he described as humiliating treatment at the film’s premiere, alleging he and his family were relegated to a cinema basement at Lively’s direction.

In December 2024, the feud intensified when Lively filed a lawsuit accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment. According to The New York Times, which covered the allegations, Lively’s legal filing claimed Baldoni had launched a negative publicity campaign against her, focusing on the harassment claim.

Baldoni responded by suing the newspaper for defamation and escalating the legal battle last week by filing a lawsuit against Lively and Reynolds. In his lawsuit, Baldoni accused the couple of leveraging their celebrity influence to “hijack his film” and damage his career.

The controversy deepened this week when raw footage of a slow dance scene from the movie surfaced. Lively alleged that during the scene, Baldoni sexually harassed her by “nuzzling her neck” and saying, “It smells so good.”

With the subpoenas looming and the lawsuits piling up, the dispute between Lively and Baldoni continues to intensify, capturing widespread attention. Both sides remain entrenched in their legal positions, with no resolution in sight. The case promises to be a drawn-out legal drama with major implications for all parties involved.
