Holly Willoughby has thanked This Morning viewer for sticking around during ‘this new way of broadcasting’ before bidding them farewell ahead of her summer break.
The presenter, 39, joined her co-host Philip Schofield, 58, in an emotional farewell on Friday’s episode of the ITV show.
Following a look-back at the series’ most emotional and hilarious moments, the duo paid tribute to the show’s crew for keeping the programme on air during the lockdown, with many still working hard from home.
And on Saturday, Holly took to her Instagram to write a long heartfelt message to loyal viewers.
Alongside a picture of a neon sign reading, ‘Thank you’, she wrote: ‘Thank you …. thank you for staying with us over the last 109 days…
When we began this new way of broadcasting, we had no idea how long we would be able to come in, or whether it would be our last time broadcasting from the studio during lockdown.

So we wanted to say thank you to our producers, researchers, director, editor, and all the amazing crew here on the studio floor and the many, many more who have been working from home throughout this pandemic so that we can keep you company each morning.
