Minnesota Man Who Told Police ‘Just Come See’ Scene Pleads Guilty to Fatally Stabbing Pregnant Girlfriend

A Minnesota man has pleaded guilty to killing his pregnant girlfriend and her unborn child after admitting that he repeatedly stabbed her during an argument at their St. Cloud apartment.

Saleebaan Mohamed Abdirisaaq, 27, entered guilty pleas Friday to second-degree intentional murder and second-degree felony murder of an unborn child. The charges relate to the Sept. 23, 2025, deaths of 24-year-old Falus Ali and her unborn baby. Ali was 17 weeks pregnant at the time of the attack, according to the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office.

During the plea hearing, Abdirisaaq admitted that he and Ali got into an argument before he retrieved a knife from the dishwasher and stabbed her multiple times, including in the neck, chest and arm. The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted the case following a referral from the Benton County Attorney’s Office.

According to the criminal complaint, Abdirisaaq called 911 after the attack and told dispatchers “someone died” and he “wanted to turn himself in.” When asked about the situation, he reportedly told officers to “just come see.”

Abdirisaaq told dispatchers that Ali had died about 20 minutes before he placed the call. Police responding to the apartment found her lying on the living room floor, surrounded by “coagulating” blood, the complaint stated.

Investigators observed wounds on her “neck, shoulders, arms, chest, left breast, and her jaw.” Officers also found a 5-inch serrated kitchen knife “covered in blood” on the floor near her body.

Ali was transported to a hospital, where she and her unborn child were pronounced dead. Local reports citing court records said she had suffered 34 stab wounds during the attack.

The couple’s 3-year-old child was inside the home during the killing but was not physically injured. According to the complaint, the child was overheard talking about Abdirisaaq “punching” Ali while “motioning with a balled fist towards the neck.” The child was later placed in the care of relatives.

Abdirisaaq’s brother told investigators that Abdirisaaq had called him and said he “killed his wife with a knife,” referring to Ali. The brother also told police that the couple had a documented history of domestic violence.

Court records showed that Abdirisaaq had previously been convicted of violating a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order involving Ali. He had also been arrested in September 2024 for allegedly making threats of violence against her and was released under a condition barring him from contacting Ali.

The guilty pleas secured convictions on two counts of second-degree murder. Abdirisaaq is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 25, 2026.
