Kim Kardashian is reportedly growing increasingly frustrated with Kanye West, with multiple outlets claiming she feels he has been largely absent from his parental responsibilities. According to a new report from Globe magazine, the reality star and entrepreneur is now considering a major legal step.
A source told the publication that Kim is openly questioning whether she should pursue full custody of their four children. “She’s saying she may as well legally go for full custody. She sees no reason why she wouldn’t get it,” the insider claimed.
Hints of that sentiment surfaced earlier this year when Kim appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast. When discussing co-parenting challenges, she said, “It’s probably been a couple of months since we’ve heard from him.” That admission, insiders say, reflects where she is emotionally. They claim “Kim [has reached] her limit. She’s done being walked on by him, but more than anything, she’s done letting him disappoint their children.”
One source even suggested she has floated the idea of changing her kids’ last names. “Kim is saying she might even get the kids’ last names changed to Kardashian!” the insider said. But a conflicting narrative emerged from Heat magazine, painting Kanye in a very different light. According to another insider, the rapper believes Kim is deliberately shutting him out. “Kanye is accusing Kim of cutting him out of the kids’ lives and twisting the narrative to make him the villain,” the source alleged.
The same insider said Kanye feels alienated and overwhelmed by how much his children have changed during his absence. “He says Kim has built a wall between him and the kids that he can’t break through. But he finds it so triggering to spend time with them and see how much they’ve changed now he’s not around to have much influence in their day-to-day.”
Despite these tensions, the report adds that Kanye still expresses deep affection for his children. “Kanye still insists he loves his kids, especially North, who’ll always be the apple of his eye,” the insider said, adding that he believes Kim, Kris Jenner, and the rest of the family have allegedly “filled their heads with lies about him.”
These new claims surfaced just after Kim revealed on The Kardashians that Kanye once accused her of staging her traumatic 2016 Paris robbery for reality TV. She described the accusation as devastating. “That was a knife to my heart,” Kim said in the episode. “Just to think that someone wouldn’t believe you that is so close to you, that should know you, and that should know how much that affected your life.”
Kim and Kanye were married for nearly seven years before separating in 2021. The former couple shares four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm and have long insisted they were committed to co-parenting peacefully. But if recent reports are accurate, their truce may be nearing a breaking point, with Kim weighing legal options and Kanye accusing her of rewriting the family’s history.
The situation continues to unfold as both sides push back on each other’s claims, leaving fans watching closely as one of Hollywood’s most public co-parenting challenges becomes increasingly strained.
