In 2016, Frankel recounted, Engelson had mentioned that his ex-wife was a woman from a show called Suits. “I didn’t know what the show was. I didn’t know the woman,” Frankel explained. It wasn’t until months later that Frankel saw pictures of Markle dating Prince Harry. She then texted Engelson, asking, “Is this your ex?”
Engelson’s response was simple: “Yup.”
Frankel continued, explaining how the conversation evolved. She texted Engelson again, asking, “Do you think she’s going to close?” — referring to the idea of Markle marrying Harry. According to Frankel, Engelson responded confidently: “Oh, she’ll close.”
Bethenny went on to mention, “I don’t want to get into more about that, but he was like, ‘She’ll close.’” This brief but telling exchange left Frankel surprised by Engelson’s candid response about his ex-wife.
Since the split with Meghan Markle, Trevor Engelson has moved on with his life. He married Tracey Kurland, a nutritionist and multi-million dollar heiress, in 2019.
