Kate Middleton Embracing Sustainable Living, Aims to Grow Food and Use Renewable Energy

Kate Middleton is reportedly preparing to step away from the public spotlight as she and Prince William plan to make a Georgian estate in Windsor Great Park their new permanent home. According to a report by RadarOnline, the Prince and Princess of Wales have chosen Forest Lodge as their “forever home” following Kate’s recovery from cancer earlier this year.

A royal source told the outlet, “Kate has had a huge shift in perspective since her illness. She’s more determined than ever to focus on her health, her children, and the environment around them.” The insider added, “Forest Lodge is perfect because it gives them space, privacy, and the chance to live much more sustainably.”

The estate, surrounded by woodland and open countryside, reportedly offers the royal couple the opportunity to raise their family in a more peaceful and environmentally conscious setting. Kate is said to be passionate about living a simpler, more sustainable life.

“She wants to grow their own food, use renewable energy, and spend as much time outdoors as possible,” the source said. “Basically, she wants to live way more off-grid.” Currently, Kate and William live in central London with their three children—Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.

Their new home at Windsor would allow the family to retreat from the busy city life and enjoy more privacy while still being close to King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle. Residents of Windsor Great Park have noticed preparations underway at the estate. “There’s a lot happening up at Forest Lodge,” one local resident shared.

“Security is being upgraded, and some of the surrounding cottages are being turned into accommodation for protection officers. The family wants to live quietly, but safely.” Another insider from the Windsor estate confirmed that the property will serve as the family’s long-term base.

“It’s become clear that Forest Lodge will be their permanent home,” the source said. “The Princess wants a home that feels grounded – she doesn’t want to be in a palace.” Plans for the estate reportedly include solar panels, fruit trees, and beehives to make the property self-sufficient.

Kate’s focus on sustainability and family life reflects her growing commitment to personal well-being and environmental responsibility. After a challenging year marked by illness and recovery, the Princess of Wales appears ready to embrace a quieter chapter—one centered on health, family, and a return to nature.
