Prince William remains unconvinced about Prince Harry’s recent apology to King Charles, with insiders saying the heir to the throne believes his brother’s words are not sincere.
A well-placed source told Heat World that William has deep reservations, rooted in both past grievances and current suspicions about Harry and Meghan’s intentions.
“William feels that his brother inflicted so much stress and suffering on their grandmother in the very last years of her life, no less,” the insider explained. “That’s something William will never forget, and to him it says all he needs to know about his brother.”

According to the source, William views Harry’s gestures of remorse as strategic rather than heartfelt. “He’s convinced this grovelling effort is part of an overall plan for the Sussexes to hold onto their precious HRH titles and try to salvage what they can from the monarchy whilst his father’s still alive and in charge,” the insider said.
“He hates that his father is falling for Harry’s apologies.” This attitude has left William frustrated with those around him. “He can’t fathom why so many people around him are ready to forgive and forget,” the insider added.
The King, along with other senior royals, has been encouraging reconciliation. Reports suggest that Queen Camilla and Princess Kate have both urged William to soften his stance. “The King and others, Kate included, are urging him to show mercy and give peace a chance, but he’s saying that’ll happen when hell freezes over,” the source revealed.
The insider noted that William typically listens to Kate’s counsel, but in this case, he remains immovable. “It doesn’t matter who tells him Harry deserves another chance, William’s not going to budge,” the source said.

William’s stance, according to those close to him, is conditional. “Only until Harry shows he’s changed over a long period of time, he’s simply not interested. And it’s the same with Meghan,” the insider explained.
The future king reportedly views both Harry and Meghan as potential threats to the stability of the monarchy. “He’s made it clear to everyone that he sees his brother and sister-in-law as a threat, and yet his father is allowing Harry back into the fold,” the source concluded.
The divide highlights the ongoing tension within the royal family, even as King Charles signals a willingness to forgive. For William, trust will only come with time and proof of lasting change.
