Grey’s Anatomy star Brad Everett Young dies aged 46 after car crash

Hollywood actor and photographer Brad Everett Young has died following a tragic car accident in Los Angeles. Young, who appeared in hit television shows including Grey’s Anatomy and Boy Meets World, was killed on the 134 Freeway after his vehicle was struck by a car traveling the wrong way, his publicist confirmed.

Authorities declared the 47-year-old actor dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Young was not only recognized for his on-screen roles but also celebrated as a gifted photographer.

His work appeared in prestigious outlets such as Vanity Fair, Vogue, and The Hollywood Reporter. He photographed numerous celebrities, including David Harbour, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Seth Green.

He also made significant contributions behind the camera through his project Dream Loud Official, which promoted the importance of music and arts education in schools. The initiative reflected his belief that creativity is a “vital component of learning.”

Publicist Paul Christensen paid tribute to Young, telling The Hollywood Reporter: “Brad’s passion for both the arts and the people behind them was unmatched,” adding that Young had “lived his mission” by working tirelessly to keep the arts alive, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry have also shared heartfelt tributes. Actor Chris McKenna of General Hospital posted a series of photos taken by Young just weeks before his death, writing on Instagram: “These were taken just a couple weeks ago by the late @bradley206. We won’t see another like him.”

Parry Shan, another General Hospital actor, remembered Young as “one of the kindest and most generous people I have ever met.” Shan added, “But the one trait that made him truly stand out in this business, often filled with cynicism, was his indomitable positivity.” He also noted that Young often declined payment for his photography services, preferring instead to help others advance their careers.

Fans also expressed their grief across social media. One tribute on X read: “A lovely man who was respectful to fans and the celebrities whose pictures he took. Such a tragedy, such a loss. I pray for comfort to his family and friends. RIP Brad Everett Young.”

Another fan wrote: “Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Brad Everett Young. Brad passed away Sunday night following an automobile accident. He was so nice! He will forever be remembered for his work as an event photographer for all the stars and his work as an actor and screenwriter.” Young is survived by his brother, Chris.
