Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could be prepared to unleash more revelations about the Royal Family if provoked, according to a royal expert who warns the couple is unlikely to “edit themselves” should tensions reignite. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, now residing in California, have continued to make headlines following a series of bombshell claims made during their 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey. While public attention has since cooled, royal commentator Jack Royston says more disclosures could emerge.
Speaking on The Royal Exclusive show, Royston reflected on the damaging nature of the couple’s earlier revelations: “The problem is with the way Harry and Meghan piled in quite relentlessly on the royals.” He continued, “Particularly, I do think the Oprah interview, they did botch it… It could have been done differently and better in a way that would be less toxic and destructive.”
Royston focused especially on the controversial racism allegations made by Meghan during the interview. At the time, she claimed there were conversations within the Royal Family expressing concern about how dark her unborn child’s skin might be. However, Royston now argues the narrative has shifted since then.
“The racism allegation, they have clearly tried to change it retrospectively or row it back,” he said. “So, obviously, Meghan botched how she described that story.” In comments made to The Sun, Royston suggested that Meghan may still have more to say—and possibly the evidence to support her claims. Meghan Markle makes veiled threats hinting at a secret royal bombshell – but her plan won’t work, an expert has claimed.

“There’s always been this thing that Meghan’s kind of intimated that she’s got receipts,” he explained. “That was in the days after Oprah, one of her friends went on ITV and said, ‘We’ve got the receipts to prove everything.’” He also pointed to Meghan’s own past remarks, indicating her willingness to speak freely.
“There was also a point where she was giving an interview and she said, ‘I’ve never signed anything, so I can say whatever I want,’” Royston added. The couple’s relationship with the Royal Family has remained tense since stepping down from their official roles in 2020.
While recent reports suggest a desire for some form of reconciliation, experts like Royston caution that unresolved grievances—and Meghan’s suggestion of holding evidence—could reignite royal drama. For now, Meghan and Harry continue to pursue independent media and philanthropic ventures in the United States, but according to insiders, the royal revelations may not be entirely behind them.
