A Fox News anchor faced loud boos from a MAGA crowd Friday night after asking attendees to applaud if they were content with the Justice Department’s findings in the Jeffrey Epstein case. The hostile reaction came during Laura Ingraham’s appearance at Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit in Tampa, Florida, where she tested the audience’s feelings about the controversial investigation’s outcome.
The Department of Justice, under Attorney General Pam Bondi, recently concluded its review of the Epstein sex trafficking case, announcing no evidence supported claims of a hidden “client list” or that Epstein blackmailed powerful figures.
The findings frustrated many conservatives, particularly after Bondi initially suggested Epstein’s files were “on my desk for review,” only to later clarify she meant the general case file, not a list of associates. Ingraham, acknowledging discontent among Trump supporters, told the crowd, “We’re not going to like everything,” before probing their views.
“How many of you are satisfied—you can clap—satisfied with the results of the Epstein investigation. Clap.” Instead of applause, the room filled with boos. “Ok, I told you to clap! You guys weren’t listening,” Ingraham joked, before asking who was dissatisfied, prompting roaring cheers.

“We’re not satisfied!” one attendee shouted. Ingraham quipped, “Now this is going to be ‘Who’s off the island first,’ right?”—a playful reference to the Survivor TV show—before urging unity. “All these people are friends of mine. I want to get the family back together,” she said, calling for clearer messaging from Trump allies.
“Don’t exaggerate what you don’t have. And don’t overpromise and underdeliver.” The backlash reflects deepening MAGA movement distrust over the Epstein case, with many convinced key details remain hidden. At the same time, Ingraham praised Bondi and Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino.
The crowd’s reaction underscored a demand for accountability—and skepticism toward officials deemed insufficiently transparent. As the 2024 election looms, the rift highlights challenges for Republicans balancing establishment credibility with grassroots fury over unresolved conspiracy theories.
