Karoline Leavitt, the 27-year-old who recently stepped into the national spotlight as White House press secretary under Donald Trump’s second administration, is now the subject of a very different kind of headline — not about politics, but about plastic surgery.
Social media users have been buzzing for months, comparing past and present photos of Leavitt and speculating that she’s had some work done. From whispers of a nose job to fuller lips and ultra-smooth skin, the internet has been doing what it does best: playing amateur cosmetic detective.
One X (formerly Twitter) user summed up the general vibe with a blunt take:
“She seems to have gotten a nose job, plumped lips, and Botoxed all of the expression out of her face.”
And now, an expert is weighing in — and he’s not exactly denying what the internet suspects.
Dr. Frederick Weniger, a board-certified plastic surgeon based in Hilton Head, South Carolina, spoke to Nicki Swift about the viral rumors, saying Leavitt’s nose shows strong signs of surgical enhancement.
“The comparison suggests a notable change in nasal contour, particularly in the definition of the bridge and tip,” Dr. Weniger explained. “The earlier image shows a slightly broader nasal bridge and rounder tip, while the more recent appearance reflects a slimmer bridge and a more refined, elevated tip — characteristics consistent with subtle rhinoplasty.”
He did note that lighting and makeup can sometimes change the way features look, but in this case, he said the structure and symmetry of her nose appear too perfect to be natural.
“The perfect contour lines and angles of her current nose suggest a very well-executed rhinoplasty.”
As for how much a nose job like that would cost? Dr. Weniger estimates somewhere between $15,000 and $50,000, depending on where it’s done and who performs it.
But the analysis didn’t stop at the nose. Dr. Weniger pointed out that Leavitt’s face now shows other signs of potential enhancements — including smoother skin, a more sculpted jawline, and lips that appear noticeably fuller than in older photos.

“Cosmetic procedures performed in major metropolitan areas such as New York, Los Angeles, or Miami tend to be significantly more expensive than those in smaller markets,” he added, suggesting Leavitt may have sought top-tier treatment.
Dr. Weniger also suggested that not all of the changes were necessarily surgical. He believes some of the upgrades could be the result of non-invasive treatments like Botox, dermal fillers, or even skin resurfacing — all of which can deliver dramatic results without going under the knife.
“The overall facial refinement, including a potentially more sculpted jawline and smoother skin tone, may also indicate non-surgical enhancements,” he said.
While Leavitt hasn’t responded to any of the online chatter — or confirmed having any procedures — her evolving appearance has clearly sparked public curiosity. And with cameras capturing her every move in D.C., the speculation probably isn’t going away anytime soon.
