Brandi Glanville has opened up about her exhausting and costly battle to uncover the cause behind a mysterious facial disfigurement that has left her frustrated and isolated.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum revealed she has spent tens of thousands of dollars on medical tests and treatments in search of a diagnosis.
“Honestly, I have so many doctors and I’ve had so many tests. I did lab work for $10,000. They ran every test under the sun. They’re like, ‘It could be a parasite that’s new,’” Glanville shared.
The reality star described how the unexplained condition has taken a significant toll on her personal life and finances. “I’ve been on meds this whole year. I don’t socialize. I don’t go out, and I’m just spending all of my money on trying to figure out what’s wrong with me,” she said, adding that she’s spent over “$70,000” so far.
Glanville speculated that the issue may have originated during her time filming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco. “Six months after I got back from Morocco, I started having this speaking thing and the swelling up thing. It started in July, and we’re still here trying to figure it out.”
The TV personality expressed her ongoing stress over the lack of answers and the condition’s persistence, which has impacted both her confidence and social life.
In early December, Glanville sparked concern among fans when she posted a selfie on social media showing noticeable swelling and facial changes. Following the post, she took to X (formerly Twitter) to explain her health struggles and assure her followers that she was seeking medical help.
“I’ve been visiting hospitals to diagnose what is the root cause of my disfigured face,” she wrote, addressing the growing speculation.
Glanville’s openness about her battle has shed light on the emotional and financial toll of unresolved health issues. Despite undergoing extensive testing and consultations with numerous specialists, the cause of her facial swelling remains elusive.
