Meghan Markle is not expected to return to the UK, even amidst rumors of Prince Harry’s intentions to purchase a residence in England, says a royal commentator.

The Sussexes took a surprising step away from Royal responsibilities in 2020, setting roots in Montecito, California for family life and their independent career pursuits.

However, whispers have emerged of a possibly homesick Harry, 39, contemplating a more permanent UK address.

In conversation with the Express, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams emphasized Meghan’s reluctance to move their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, back to Britain. Fitzwilliams stated, “I don’t foresee Meghan or, in the near future, Archie and Lili, revisiting the UK.”

He also debunked claims of Harry dividing his time between the US and the UK, referencing Harry’s ongoing security concerns and his legal battle with the Home Office.

Before relocating, the couple resided in Frogmore Cottage, a gift from the late Queen Elizabeth II. Following the release of Harry’s headline-making memoir, Spare, the couple vacated the property upon King Charles’ directive.

Although Harry made brief solo trips to the UK for legal matters and events, including King Charles’ Coronation and the WellChild Awards, Meghan remained in California.

Recent reports suggest Harry’s recent request to lodge at Windsor Castle was turned down, casting doubt on any royal support in his quest for a new UK home.

A source shared with OK! magazine regarding Harry’s potential house search, “There’s a split in opinion between the couple, but the search for a property close to London will commence, led by Harry.”
