Jeter, 40, was spotted with his 24-year-old girlfriend, Hannah Davis, strolling home from breakfast in New York City. The couple had eaten at the Minerva Cafe and then enjoyed a leisurely stroll on the city’s streets.

Derek was the picture of casual in distressed blue jeans, white trainers, a black leather jacket, and a grey and blue T-shirt. It was probably no coincidence that Jeter’s look favoured Yankee colours after so many years on the team. As for Hannah, the model went for casual chic with a bright red coat over a simple white top and ripped leggings.

For footwear, Davis wore Chanel flats. A lazy morning might have been just what Derek needed – he had attended the 20th Annual Lou Gehrig Sports Awards Benefit in New York on Tuesday night. Whatever the case, recent life has almost certainly moved at a slower pace for the long-time Yankee.

Jeter closed out his 20-year career in professional baseball with the Yankees this fall, leaving as one of the most celebrated players in that team’s history. In addition to five World Series championships during his tenure, Derek became the Yankees’ leader in career hits and games played. He also is ranked sixth in career hits for all of Major League Baseball. Throughout his high-profile professional baseball career, Derek was linked romantically to several celebrities. Derek’s girlfriends have included Mariah Carey, Jessica Biel, Minka Kelly, Jordana Brewster, singer Joy Enriquez, and Miss Universe Lara Dutta. He and Hannah, however, have been together since 2012.
