Alina Habba’s Claim That Billionaires ‘Sacrificed’ for Trump’s Cabinet Leaves Critics Laughing

White House counselor Alina Habba stirred up controversy with her latest remarks about President Donald Trump’s Cabinet, leaving critics questioning her claims.

During an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, Habba defended Elon Musk against criticism over his role in the unofficial Department of Government Efficiency, which Trump tasked him with overseeing. She dismissed the backlash, calling it “very basic.”

Habba went on to highlight what she described as a selfless effort by wealthy business leaders to serve in Trump’s administration.

“In our administration, we have a tremendous amount of billionaires who are successful businessmen… who have taken a leave, sold their companies, walked away from their lives to sacrifice to help America be great again,” she told Hannity. “There are many, many.”

However, her statement quickly drew skepticism, with critics demanding specifics. While Trump’s second-term Cabinet is already projected to be the wealthiest in history—reportedly worth a staggering $20 billion—many questioned who, if anyone, had genuinely sacrificed their fortune for public service.

Notably, that figure doesn’t even include Musk, whose wealth currently hovers around $400 billion. Given Musk’s involvement, some critics found Habba’s argument even more questionable.

The claim that billionaires have given it all up for Trump raised eyebrows across social media, with many pointing out that Trump’s team has historically been stacked with ultra-wealthy individuals, not exactly known for financial sacrifice.

While Habba’s remarks were meant to highlight loyalty to Trump’s administration, they ended up sparking debate over whether financial elites are truly sacrificing or simply leveraging their power in Washington.

As the conversation around Trump’s potential second-term leadership unfolds, Habba’s statement has only intensified scrutiny on the billionaire-packed Cabinet he continues to assemble.
