According to a report by Fox News on Sunday, January 28, 2024, Snoop Dogg, the renowned rapper and advocate for equity, has recently expressed a newfound admiration for former President Donald Trump, marking a significant shift from his previous criticisms of the former president and his supporters.

In an extensive interview with The Sunday Times, Snoop Dogg, who is 52 years old, offered praise for Trump, emphasizing the positive impact the former president has had on his own life. He stated, “Donald Trump? He ain’t done nothing wrong to me.

He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris.” Snoop Dogg continued, saying, “So I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump.” Michael “Harry-O” Harris, an associate of Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight and the founder of the label’s parent company, Godfather Entertainment, received a pardon in 2021 as one of Trump’s final decisions before leaving office.

Snoop Dogg, who was famously signed by Death Row Records and later acquired it in 2022, had been an advocate for the release of Harris, who had been imprisoned on charges of conspiracy and attempted murder for over three decades.

Snoop Dogg’s appreciation for Trump’s commutation of Harris was evident in his previous comments. He expressed his support by saying, “I love what they did,” in an interview with the New York Post. He went on to commend the president and his team for their actions on the way out of office.

These recent statements from the rapper stand in stark contrast to the criticism he directed toward the former president and his supporters during Trump’s tenure in the White House. In a 2017 music video for his song “Lavender,” Snoop Dogg depicted Trump as a clown and simulated shooting the president in the head.

Additionally, in 2020, XXL Magazine shared a video clip of the rapper criticizing Trump and his followers, expressing his disapproval by saying, “Donald Trump is a f—ing weirdo. If you voted for him, I don’t have a problem with that. But if you’re still with him, f— you.”

Snoop Dogg has been known for his outspoken political views for quite some time. In 2012, ahead of the presidential election between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, he posted a list on Instagram explaining why he would not support the former Massachusetts governor and would be voting for the former Illinois senator. This garnered significant attention and discussion.

When asked if he would take a similar approach in the event of a presidential race between Trump and Joe Biden, Snoop Dogg did not provide a definitive answer, stating, “I may have to because there are mixed views on that, so I want to see what the people say…”

Representatives for both Snoop Dogg and Donald Trump did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment regarding these surprising developments.

The unexpected change of stance from Snoop Dogg has undoubtedly garnered widespread attention, and its implications for his image and political influence remain to be seen.
