The 50 year old Oscar winner actor George Clooney was arrested outside the Sudanese Embassy after which he talked to Fox News Sunday. He said his cause is such that he is willing to be behind the bars. The TV host Chris Wallace told Clooney that he was the only reason why they had included a segment on Sudan otherwise they would not have.
George Clooney said that he is making use of him being a celebrity to throw some light on the people of Sudan. The actor is motivated to do so because his father was a journalist and he exactly knew what it feels like when stories are killed and they don’t go on air. Clooney also told Fox News about the reason why he chose Sudan. He thinks that the leader of Sudan Omer al-Bashir is causing a humanitarian crisis and the people who need food and other basic necessities are not getting them. Clooney grew up in a family where such things were very important he was taught that it is his responsibility to stand with the fellow man.
