She was spotted living up to her party girl reputation on Sunday evening when she arrived in Cannes and met up with her close pal Suki Water house. But by Tuesday Cara Delevingne was back in model mode as she attended the De Grisogono dinner party in collaboration with Gyunel at Hotel du Cap-Eden Roc.
The 21-year-old looked a far cry from the girl swigging drinks just a couple of evenings before as she slipped into the elegant dress by Roberto Cavalli, which was the SS14 runway finale look. The chiffon number featured intricate beading, as well as a layered skirt which grazed the floor as she walked. However the pièce de résistance was the low scooped back which left her skin bare and was accentuated by a necklace placed down her back. Making sure it could take centre stage she wore her hair off her face in a bun and her usual smokey eye make-up. Meanwhile the party was also attended by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who showed her passion for lingerie model as stepped out in a stunning floor-length gown with a cowl neck that incorporated a cut-out black bra.
The 27-year-old model even flashed a bit Angelina Jolie-style leg, with a thigh-high split detail to the ensemble. In fact it was an evening of beautiful women as Leonardo Di Caprio’s ex Toni Garn was there, as was actress Riley Keough. The women all posed up for pictures inside the party and they appeared to be getting along very well. At one point Rosie, who is also from the UK, was seen inspecting Cara Delevingne necklace as they all chatted away. Cara arrived in Cannes on Sunday evening after fulfilling bridesmaids duties for her sister Poppy on Saturday. Perhaps rejoicing in her sisters recent nuptials put the super model in the mood to celebrate, as she was seen letting her hair down alongside fellow model Suki Water house.
Cara Delevingne had gone for a more bohemian look her demure white Chanel dress for the wedding, wearing a baker boy style hat and casual vest with her face free from make-up for the party. Meanwhile model pal Suki, 22, looked like she was sensibly sipping on juice and looked dressed down in a grey T with a smidgeon of eyeliner. Suki, who has fronted campaigns for Superga and Burberry, is reportedly tee total, unlike Cara Delevingne who was sipping from a Belvedere Vodka glass. Even though Cara is somewhat late to the Cannes party, Suki has been at the international film festival since it’s opening last Wednesday, and made a stylish mark as she stepped out on Monday in a dazzling knee length silk gown.
It’s been a busy week for Suki, who has been spotted at a variety of Cannes parties but it’s not surprising she still managed to look amazing at the Chopard bash in sparkling jewels to compliment her silky dress. Suki is thought to have given up alcohol at the request of her teetotal Hollywood boyfriend Bradley Cooper. Despite making a name for herself as a supermodel, Cara Delevingne has made no secret of her desires to branch out into acting. Her acting debut was as Princess Sorokina in Anna Karenina in 2012, and has already starred in three films which are due for release in 2014. Kids in Love, London Fields and The Face of an Angel are all due out this year and the blonde beauty is currently filming Pan and Tulip Fever.
