Bowers, a 25-year-old travel nurse, chose this special occasion to ask Mandrell to marry him. He reminisced about their unique first meeting with host Jesse Palmer before making his heartfelt proposal. “Christina, from the moment that I picked you up from the airport with your crazy ass rose and your fake disguise, I knew there was something special about you,” he shared.
