Martin Shorts wife Nancy Dolman died last week

Nancy DolmanNancy Dolman, the wife of Canadian actor-comedian, Martin Short died last weekend at the couple’s home in Pacific Palisades.

Though no cause of death was given but Dolman was diagnosed with cancer back in 2007 and was 58 at the time of death.

Short, who is best known as ‘Jiminy Glick’ character in many ‘Saturday Night Live’ met Dolman while performing in a 1972 Toronto production of Godspell in the 1970s. The two got married in 1980.

Dolman‘s acting career included a recurring role in the Norman Lear sitcom Soap, in the early 1980s. Dolman set aside her career in 1985 to focus on raising their children. They have three children: Katherine, 27, Oliver, 24, and Henry, 20.
